Introducing Mark Bramah, Managing Consultant at Municipia

Mark haMark Bramahs worked in local government and the public sector for 35 years and was a senior strategic manager at the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE).  He has excellent skills including strategic leadership, managing staff and teams, financial management, management consultancy, project management, and  understanding policy and legislation. Mark has excellent written and oral communication skills and is an accomplished speaker and presenter.

Mark was the architect of and lead officer in developing APSE’s unique local authority energy collaboration ‘APSE Energy’ involving some 60 local authorities from across the U.K. with the aim of municipalising local energy services.

He is an experienced management consultant and specialises in the following areas:

  • The transition to a decentralised, low carbon economy
  • Municipal energy – generation, distribution and supply.
  • Strategic and operational reviews of public services.
  • Income generation and commercialisation.

Mark is an experienced research manager and has led many research projects most notably the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with De Montfort University, Leicester from September 2009 to January 2013 which developed practical tools and guides to be able to offer specialist services to councils addressing the operational challenges of reduced public spending. He was the KTP supervisor on the project, a three year Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) project which was graded as ‘outstanding’ by the KTP Grading Panel for its achievement in meeting the KTP’s objectives.

He is a member of the Renewable Energy Association (REA) and the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA).

trevor-hawkinsTrevor currently works with clients to provide solutions, advice and negotiation skills to deliver key projects and business redesign. He has over 40 years of experience working within or in conjunction with local authorities, government and audit bodies throughout the U.K. 

Trevor is focussed on understanding client requirements and delivering successful outcomes. His main experience has been in developing and managing special projects and senior management teams.
